Philadelphia Heavy-arm Comb-back

A large Comb-back chair with sawed-arm construction, typical of early Philadelphia work. Shown here with knuckled, hard maple arms and front spindles. Useful as a dining chair or as a single piece.
Seat Width:24" Overall Height:44 1/2"

Philadelphia Windsor arm chair (circa 1760-1780). This Windsor chair is perhaps the most formal Windsor chair of them all. Our Philadelphia arm chair is truly pleasing to look at with its large shield-shaped seat, carved arms, crest and shapely back. As with all of our chairs, the spindles and crest are riven for straightness of grain and structural integrity. This chair is perfect at the end of a table or as a lounge chair, or simply for your viewing pleasure.
